4. Lawful bases
Depending on the activity, we rely on one or more of the following lawful bases: performance of a contract, legitimate interests in operating and improving the business, compliance with a legal obligation, and consent. Where we rely on consent, including for optional cookies or certain marketing, you may withdraw it at any time.
5. Cookies and analytics
The website uses cookies and similar technologies. Strictly necessary cookies support essential functions such as security, accounts and checkout. Optional analytics or marketing cookies will only be used where the required consent has been given. CookieYes is used to present and record cookie choices. You can review or change your choices through the cookie banner or consent settings available on the website.
6. WooCommerce and payments
WooCommerce is used to sell and deliver digital downloads. We and our service providers process the information required to complete the order, prevent fraud, provide access to downloads, deal with support requests and keep legally required records. Payments are processed securely by the payment method selected at checkout; that provider applies its own privacy terms.
7. TidyCal bookings
Bookings for informal chats and consultancy sessions are arranged through TidyCal. Information entered into the booking form is processed by TidyCal and shared with us so we can schedule and deliver the requested meeting. TidyCal is not used by Digital Growth 101 to take payment for these bookings.
8. Skool community
If you join our Skool community, Skool processes information needed to operate your account and the community platform. Your profile and anything you post may be visible to other community members according to the community settings. Please do not post confidential information or personal information about another person unless you have the right to do so.
9. Who we share information with
We may share information with trusted service providers that help us operate, including website hosting and security providers, WordPress and WooCommerce services, payment processors, TidyCal, Skool, email and communication services, analytics providers and CookieYes. We may also disclose information to professional advisers, regulators, law-enforcement bodies or another organisation where required by law or in connection with a business transfer. We do not sell personal information.
10. International transfers
Some providers may process information outside the United Kingdom. Where required, we use providers and safeguards designed to ensure an appropriate level of protection, such as adequacy regulations or approved contractual protections.
11. How long we keep information
We retain information only for as long as reasonably necessary. Enquiries and routine correspondence are normally retained for up to 24 months after the last meaningful contact. Order, payment and accounting records may be retained for at least six years where required for tax or legal purposes. Account and community information is generally retained while the account remains active and for a limited period afterwards. Some information may remain in secure backups until those backups are routinely replaced.
12. Security
We use reasonable technical and organisational measures to protect information. However, no internet service can guarantee absolute security. You are responsible for keeping your account credentials confidential and for contacting us if you suspect unauthorised use.
13. Your rights
Depending on the circumstances, you may have rights to access, correct, erase or restrict your personal information, object to processing, request portability and withdraw consent. To exercise a right, email hello@digitalgrowth101.com. We may need to verify your identity.
14. Complaints
Please contact us first so we can try to resolve your concern. You also have the right to complain to the UK Information Commissioner’s Office at ico.org.uk.
15. Children
Digital Growth 101 is intended for adults and is not directed at children under 18. Please contact us if you believe a child has supplied personal information without appropriate permission.
16. Changes to this policy
We may update this policy when our services, providers or legal obligations change. The latest version will appear on this page with its revision date.
